To remove the stigma against mental illnesses in developing countries
CareForHealth rehabilitates adults with mental illness, and then facilitates recovered clients (patients) into employment.

CFH practitioners implements the entire Illness Management and Recovery (IMR) program, elements of Family Psychoeducation and elements of Supported Employment. IMR, Family Psychoeducation and Supported Employment are 3 evidence-based practices of Psychiatric Rehabilitation: services that promote recovery, community integration and improved quality of life for people diagnosed with mental illness.
Illness Management and Recovery The program educates clients about their illness, teaches them strategies to cope with stress and prevent relapse. Practitioners build clients’ functionality and help them to fulfill personal recovery goals.

Family/ Caregivers will be involved during Relapse Prevention and Building Social Support modules of IMR. Additionally, a couple sessions will be held to offer support and guidance to the client’s family in caring for the client.
Clients will be prepared for employment. This includes interview practice, assessing options, counseling about past failures, refreshing certain skills.
2. Reintegration and on-going support:
After rehabilitation of the patient, CFH uses its network of partners to allow a smooth reintegration of the client into society. The client is given support with CV making and interview practices. The client’s skills and knowledge of the working world are taken into account as well as their ability and desire to cope post rehabilitation. Clients are sent to interviews at employer organizations from CFH’s network, based on their skill set. After interview rounds, the client is successfully placed into a job. The client’s practitioner follows up with the client at regular time intervals. The practitioner also follows up regularly with the employer of the client to make sure no symptoms for relapse are observed. In the case, the client is relapsing; the practitioner immediately takes control of the situation so as the client may have a smooth work life. Clients that secure job placements keep CFH sustainable by funding a new client. This funding is based on a criteria established by the CFH team which takes into account the clients income, family dependents etc. and therefore is a small percentage (5-20%) of the clients income for a one year period. CFH does not take any monetary funds from clients that qualify for zakat; these clients are in fact funded directly by CFH. Any transactions that contribute to CFH’s network are not done on the institute’s grounds but done post rehabilitation at CFH’s office and therefore have nothing to do with the institute where the client was initially placed. CFH shares this information with partner organizations purely for the institute’s knowledge of how CFH functions sustainably.
